Jonas' dream [Ch. 5] - possible answers

Jonas is not sure what to make of the dream.

Some rituals show that feelings are somehow utterly important in the community, e.g. the telling of feelings in the evening and talking about dreams. Why do you think are these rituals important for the community, especially for the Committee of Elders?

Search the internet for different book covers of the novel "The Giver" and decide which cover you like best.

Copy the picture of one book cover into your blog. Don't forget to give the source of information!

Tasks:
a) Describe your favourite cover in detail and give reasons why you have chosen this cover.
b) What are the functions of a book cover and of the back side of a book?

ADDITIONAL TASK [optional] - becoming a designer for book covers!
Imagine it is your job to design book covers. A well known publishing house asks you if you could create a new design for the novel "The Giver". The best picture will be awarded a little prize in class!
